I was educated at Sydney University and Harvard University. After college, I subsequently gained a Masters of Science in Management from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Management from the University of Cambridge.

After graduating from college, I developed my career in Finance and Marketing.  I became an Analyst at a Goldman Sachs, a leading investment bank in New York.  I joined the Technological and Management Equity Research Group undertaking evaluations in high technology stocks, risk analysis and risk measurement. I was involved in a wide range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and high-net-worth individuals.

Subsequent to Goldman Sachs I joined Symantec Inc, the world's largest IT security firm based in Cupertino, California as the Asia Pacific Business Manager for the region. I was based out of Sydney and Hong Kong. I was responsible for managing the marketing and financial intelligence for the JAPAC region. This involved frequent travels around the region.

In 2004 I took the opportunity to co-found my own company, The Oxford & Cambridge Group and The Ivy League Group.  The companies provide a diversity of education services from class-based tuition, advice and tutoring for university admission (in particular to Top Public Schools, Oxbridge, Ivy League and top UK Universities) and postgraduate admission (postgraduate medical school, business schools and law schools). The company also holds the renowned Oxford and Cambridge and Ivy League Summer/Winter Schools and Camps. Recently the company has diversified into the Asia-Pacific region and the U.S.A.

In 2009, I was appointed the Vice President of D.E. Shaw, in the proprietary trading division of the New York-based hedge fund, private equity and technology development firm. The firm manages nearly $40 billion in aggregate capital, making it one of the world's largest hedge funds by assets under management. I managed equity trading, hedge fund proprietary trading and marketing (especially High Frequency Trading) in the European and Asian markets. The fund invests in the hospitality, construction and the utilities industry.

I also have 12+ years of teaching experience ranging from various universities, colleges and business schools. I have had academic experience with organisations as diverse as Imperial College London, Hult International Business School, S P Jain School of Global Management, Laureate International University, European School of Economics, Coventry University London Campus, University of Sunderland, Cambridge University, Harvard University and Sydney University.
